Challenge

To explain the Lewisham e-government program to 5,000 members of staff.

Response

Works Digital worked with Lewisham Council for over a year. Initially brought in to explain e-government (Electronic Government) to an internal audience, our work expanded into the creation of a major branding and internal communications programme for the e-government team. This culminated in a new Intranet site giving clear, in-depth explanations of all aspects of Lewisham's e-learning programme.

Result

Staff's understanding of Lewisham's e-government projects improved overall by approximately 68%, enabling them to better support Lewisham's goal of e-enabling over 1,000 services.

The e-government communications programme involved branding the activity, creating an Intranet site and producing a communications guide advising managers on best practice for promoting technology projects internally. Works Digital achieved buy-in from influential stakeholders right from the very start. They delivered on budget and exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, they have been a pleasure to work with.
